Marlon

Marlon began massage over 25 years ago due to his mother being involved in a head-on collision with a drunken semi driver. Over the course of a year he received tutelage from varying physical therapists and Medical, Osteopathic, and Orthopedic doctors showing him various techniques to perform in order to help her heal while they were away. The physical improvements he noticed her making week by week left a profound effect on him.

After graduating high school he worked his way through college to obtain a bachelors in Media Production. After college he realized how much he missed massage therapy and went to school to obtain his license. He has since performed over 15,000 hours of massages. In 2012 he obtained his certification in medical massage and performs Pre and Post Operational Massage to obtain a closer affiliation with local hospitals and insurance companies.

He got the idea for the name True Massage Therapy after a client stated to him once; “That was the truth right there. This was the first time I’ve been able to put on my socks without help since my son was born!” (Her son was now a 27-year-old doctorate student.)

He began playing jazz saxophone and classical clarinet in 1993 and has played all over North America. In May 2018 he was picking up his child from his babysitter and was unfortunately became a victim of violence before he reached the door. Doctors are hoping surgery can get him back to playing again. In his free time Marlon likes photography, videography, and is currently in the process of writing a book.
